Thorsten Schröder

Thorsten is a digital native. He chats with founders and decision makers of the digital world at events in Austin, New York and across the US. His background as a reporter in the real world is his biggest asset when it comes to writing about technological trends. He reported on the oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico, the drought in Kansas and the devastation in Haiti after Hurricane Sandy. He was on the ground in Ferguson to write about the beginning of Black Lives Matter and went to Detroit to cover the resurgence of the city in the age of connected cars. The economist and political scientist graduated from the Cologne Journalism School and has been with nygp since 2010. He also shoots, produces and edits news segments for television.
